Heat Shrink Tubing - FEP and PTFE Heat Shrinkable Tubing

Markel : Heat Shrink Tubing

Heat shrink, short hand notation for "heat shrinkable tubing" is a unique, thermally activated protective product used in the electrical, medical, automotive, and aerospace industries. While heat shrink tubing is available in a variety of polymeric materials, Markel fluoropolymer heat shrink provides the ultimate in thermal and chemical protection against corrosion, moisture, electrical shorts, and extreme heat.

Application of Markel heat shrink tubing is fast, simple, and most importantly, reproducible. Simply slide the appropriately sized heat shrink tube over the connection or fitting you wish to protect and apply a short exposure to heat. The product does the rest, covering connections, wires, joints, or terminuses completely and uniformly, even over irregular shapes.

Markel heat shrink products are available in industry standard sizes and expansion ratios as well as custom sizes or expansion ratios as required. Markel heat shrink tubing is available in FEP, PFA, ETFE, THV, EFEP, and PTFE depending on the demands of the application.

The Markel dual wall heat shrink provides the utmost in protection by filling in any free space under the heat shrink. Lined with a lower melting point fluoropolymer the PTFE dual wall heat shrink not only covers the connection, but the inner layer melts, flows, and displaces any open volume around the connection, preventing intrusion by liquids or gases in service.
