General Information: Porous PTFE Rod and Filament
Markel FPM™ (Fluoropolymer Permeable Membrane) Porous PTFE rod and filaments are a family of products that can be used for unique applications requiring a chemically clean, inert, thermally stable, porous bead or thread. These products have found uses as seals, in gas-liquid isolation, venting applications, or for allowing pressure equilibration without mass transfer.
These articles can be produced in various diameters ranging from 700 µm up to 10 µm with varying porosity to adjust either the softness or the permeability of the rod or filament.
Products Available: Porous PTFE Rod and Filament
• Diameters from 0.7mm to 9.5mm
• Porosities up to 70% depending on pore size
• Minimum Pore Size from 0.005 to 10 µm
