Markel PTFE Insulated High Voltage Appliance Wire per UL758 and listed under UL 1911 is commonly used for internal wiring of electronic gas igniter systems. Size range is AWG No. 24-10, solid or stranded conductor. Conductor plating is nickel. Color pigment can be added to the PTFE insulation.
CHARACTERISTICS
Markel UL 1911 insulated wire is rated at 25 kv dc max and 250 °C max. The minimum average insulation wall thicknessis 0.028. The minimum insulation wall thickness at any point is 0.026.

Minimum Tensile Strength after heat aging for 60 days at 260 °C : 3400 lb/in2 (2344 N/cm2)
Elongation before heat aging : 175% (1.75 or 43.8 mm)
Elongation after heat aging for 60 days at 260 °C : 149% (1.49 or 37.2 mm)
Tensile and elongation to be measured at a speed of 20 +/- 1 in/min or 500 +/-25 mm/min
Flame Rating: Appliance wire horizontal flame test
APPLICATIONS
Markel High Voltage Wire is used in aluminum and ceramic body spark ignition electrodes for gas ovens, portable stoves, water heaters, clothes dryers, hanging stoves, outdoor warmers, gas lamps and mosquito killers.
